Our Journey of Excellence
Founded in 1956 by a group of visionary citizens of Malleshwaram, MES (Mysore Education Society) began with a simple yet powerful mission — to provide quality higher education, especially for young women who lacked access to nearby institutions. Starting with just 68 students in a small dwelling called Anandashram, MES embodied the essence of the ancient Gurukula system — close student-teacher relationships, personal attention, and value-driven learning.
From these humble beginnings, MES has grown into one of Karnataka’s most respected educational institutions, nurturing generations of leaders across diverse fields. Today, MES manages 2 schools, 4 PU colleges, 3 degree colleges, and a PG & Research Centre, empowering over 15,000 students every year.
With a legacy of academic excellence, cultural enrichment, and value-based education, MES continues to shape bright futures while staying rooted in its founding philosophy — character, confidence, and credibility.
